Bardsley named men’s lacrosse coach at Thiel

GREENVILLE, Pa. (ohioriverlax.org) – Director of Athletics Amy Schafer recently announced the hiring of Thomas John “TJ” Bardsley as Thiel College’s head men’s lacrosse coach.

Bardsley arrives at Thiel after serving a two-year stint as the graduate assistant coach for the Alfred University men’s lacrosse program. Under Bardsley’s assistance, the Saxons went 10-5 in 2016 after finishing the 2015 season with a 13-4 record.

“I’d like to thank Thiel College for this opportunity,” Bardsley said. “I am very excited for this opportunity, and I look forward to continuing the winning tradition of the men’s lacrosse program.”

Bardsley earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Siena College in 2015, where he was a 4-year member of the Division I lacrosse team. He went on to earn a master’s in business administration from Alfred University in May.

“I’m happy to welcome T.J. to Thiel College,” Schafer said. “He brings experience from Division I and Division III, and I’m looking forward to seeing his team compete this spring.”

Bardsley takes over a Thiel program that won 10 games each of the last three seasons and qualified for the the last three Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) Championship Tournaments.
